Malene Birger has many creative talents. She works as an interior designer and as an artist. She expresses herself in clay and marble for her objects and sculptures and has recently created a fine jewelry collection. Originally, Malene Birger comes from the world of fashion. Ever since she graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Copenhagen in the late 1980s, she has followed her heart throughout her professional life.

As the wellknown nomad she is, her journey has been diverse and inspiring. Her instinct for materials, textures, compositions, and eclectic combinations of furniture, art, and objects is rare. Malene Birger’s interior style has already led to two successful coffee table books.

In the third volume, her ART is strongly presented in her houses and spaces. This book offers a close look into her private house projects, in London, Italy, Greece, and Mallorca.

Malene Birger is synonymous with uncompromising style and attention to detail. Having founded and led two of Denmark’s most successful international fashion brands—Day Birger et Mikkelsen (1997–2002) and By Malene Birger (2003–2014)—the multiple awardwinning designer has since honed her creative craft on numerous projects across interior design, fashion, art, and jewelry. In 2015, she founded the epo nymous design consultancy, The World of Malene Birger. As a selfproclaimed nomad, she has spent the last 17 years designing, renovating, and living in homes on Mallorca, in London, and in Tremezzo, Italy.
